Alpaca Pines Farm and Fiber Mill is happy to announce PRIVATE lessons with LuLu. She is The Sip-n-Spin's Tipsy Spinster, a fiber artist with her own youtube channel. She has joined us to assist those that need help developing or fine tuning spinning skills using a spinning wheel or spindles. Call to reserve a time.

December 9th and 10th 2024 at the Farm
10am to 4pm both days This is a FREE event, donations are welcome. Get into the Holiday Spirit, shop local, enjoy a day at our farm. Visit the alpacas, shop for great alpaca gifts, kids can make a craft, Santa will be available to visit with too!! Santa will visit both December 9th and 10th from 11am until 2pm. Donations are welcomed of dog and cat food, paper towels and fleece blankets for local pet shelters. |
DESIGN A WORK OF ART A ONE OF A KIND FELTED RUG
Cost is $100.00
Call for available dates, the rug will take 2 visits to the mill to complete. All materials are provided. A solid felted sheet will be made for the backing, core spun rug yarn will be used for the top of the rug. Natural colors are offered. Specific dyed colors will be extra. This project creates a one of a kind gift or a lovely addition to your home.

Felting Fun September 15
Enjoy the fiber arts?
Class is September 14 from 3pm to 5pm
This class will allow participants to felt a bar of natural soap using the wet felting method. Next we will create 2 dryer balls using the method of wet felting on one and needle felting on the other.
Suggested age is 12 and up
Cost of the Class is $30
Students will take home their projects

Felted Scarf Class Novenber 9th 2024 at 2pm
Interested in felting? This class is perfect for beginners as well as seasoned felters. You will be guided through the entire project. Participants will learn how to transform Alpaca and Wool fibers into an artful scarf using the wet felting technique. The skills learned in this class can be applied to future classes and projects.
All materials are provided. Suggested age is 10 and up
Class is Nov 9th from 2pm to 4:30pm
Introduction to Spinning May 4th

Interested in fiber arts? Interested in learning how to create yarn? This class will be taught by LuLu. Lulu is a true fiber artist! Learn how to spin using a Turkish Spindle.
This is an introductory class to spinning.
Included is a Turkish Spindle and 2oz of fiber.
May 4th from 1pm to 3pm
Felted Hot Pad Class May 5th
Create a needle felted hot pad. A pre-felted square 8 inches by 8 inches.
The skill of needle felting will be used to create a design and then wet felted to complete the project. All supplies are included. No previous felting experience is needed.
May 5th 10am to noon
Cost $25
Introduction to Crochet May 11
This class introduces you to crochet. A mug rug will be created during the class.
Yarn and crochet hook are included.
Time of class is 2to 5pm

Do you have a spinning wheel? How about an E-Wheel? Have questions? Frustrated with your spinning?
Register for this Class!
This is a donations only class with proceeds to go to Boone County Animal Services.
You must already spin and own your own wheel. Bring your wheel to class and enjoy a trouble shooting session.
Participants must pre-register
Trouble shooting is June 29th at 3pm and will last approximately one hour.
